West Midlands' star performing organisations recognised

IIPWM AwardsTo help celebrate the launch of a new approach to the delivery of the Investors in People business improvement model, Investors in People West Midlands recently hosted an event to acknowledge the first organisations within the region to achieve the advanced levels of recognition now attainable.

The new Investors in People approach delivers a more flexible, practical and personal business improvement solution to employers of all types and sizes. It also incorporates an extended framework to deliver depth and breadth expertise and new forms of recognition which acknowledge employers' commitment to continuous improvement.

It will enable Investors in People regional centres to work closely with organisations on their specific business needs, provide further reaching levels of support and more detailed assessment feedback on priority issues.

The core Investors in People Standard will now be complemented by Bronze, Silver and Gold recognition levels, which are designed to celebrate success, as well as sign-post areas for further improvement and provide additional stretch for those who want it.

The Investors in People West Midlands regional centre is part of WMQC, and WMQC Board Chairman Mike Judge handed over the newly established Gold, Silver and Bronze awards at a special High Tea presentation ceremony at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham.

Mike congratulated the nineteen organisations in attendance on their efforts. He said: "As ever it remains a tremendous achievement to become a recognised Investors in People, but this new initiative gives organisations the chance to push themselves even further. Those who have done so can be proud of the fact that their success places them in the top 1% in the country."

Two companies – Groupama and Lloyds TSB Autolease were presented with the highly coveted gold recognition plaques.
