Investors in People today unveiled a new source of support for employers, with the launch of its free business improvement tool, 'Investors in People Interactive'.
The online tool, available via www.investorsinpeople.co.uk/interactive, enables all types and sizes of organisations to plan their people needs in the context of their business goals. Employers can move through a simple set of questions and scenarios to build an in-depth picture of how their organisation compares to good practice, along with a summary report that highlights areas in which they can improve. Organisations can therefore, for the first time, work interactively online with the business improvement methods that are central to the Investors in People Standard.
Launched during Investors in People Week (5-9 November), 'Investors in People Interactive' is available free of charge to any organisation, whatever their size or sector, whether they are new to Investors in People or not. The site also contains advice on key business issues, along with good practice examples, templates, downloads and a wide range of case studies, along with extensive guidance for organisations interested in working towards recognition with the Investors in People Standard.
Simon Jones, acting Chief Executive Office, Investors in People UK, said: "Investors in People has been working with UK employers for the last 15 years to help them enhance their success and productivity by putting people development at the core of their business. Weve always prided ourselves on keeping pace with employers needs and this new, easy-to-use tool provides a resource where they can get a snapshot of their current performance, access free advice and work interactively with the business improvement approach that is the foundation of the Investors in People Standard.
"Investors in People Interactive' can help all employers with their strategic planning and workforce management. It delivers useful information and pinpoints areas for improvement, helping organisations to deliver on their business goals. And of course the site provides a taster of the guidance and support that organisations can gain through a longer-term relationship with Investors in People"
The material on www.investorsinpeople.co.uk/interactive is drawn from the UK's leading people management and business improvement tool - the Investors in People Standard - and is focused around five management practices:
- strategic planning
- effective management
- culture and communication
- developing people
- managing performance.
